New Hall Vineyards

Essex Ladies in Business hosted this year's Summer Event at New Hall Vineyards.

We were greeted with a glass of the Essex grown sparkling wine, with time to network with fellow attendees.

The tour kicked off with views of the amazing grapevines and an introduction as to how the crops are grown and harvested. We sampled a lovely rosé wine while enjoying the view.

This was followed by a tour of the winery and the rigorous process the fruit goes through to get to the amazing finished product. We also sampled a sparkling wine which wasn't made from grapes, instead it was produced with elderflower.

After learning how the wine was made, we indulged in a tasting session of some of New Hall's award winning wines, coupled with a selection of cheese and biscuits.

The evening finished with a quiz and free raffle. One lucky attendee won a bottle of the Essex grown sparkling wine, and the winners of the quiz were presented with a magnum of sparkling wine (which was donated to Little Havens Children's Hospice for future events).

We raised over £100 in aid of Little Havens.
