Essex Ladies in Business

The Essex Ladies in Business are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our next event on 21st September 2022 at The Courtyard, 12 Baddow Road, Chelmsford, CM2 0DG.

The cost is £12.50 per person which includes pizza and a glass of prosecco. Half of any profits made will go to Little Havens.

With the days turning colder and the nights pulling in, it seems like as good a time as any to plan our next event.

Our Pre-Christmas Breakfast will be taking place 8am Thursday 25th November 2021 at Bills, Chelmsford.

The cost is £15 per person including breakfast and one drink of your choice . Half of any profits made will go to Little Havens. There will also be a raffle so don't forget to bring your business cards.

Due to the popularity of the last wine tasting event held, the ELIB committee have decided hold our next event at Clayhill Vineyard, Lower Burnham Road, Latchingdon, Chelmsford, CM3 6HF.

Why not come and network in a relaxed environment whilst sampling locally produced wine? The evening will commence at 6pm with arrival from 5.30pm, kick starting with a welcome drink, followed by a talk and tour of the vineyard, wine tasting and nibbles.

To reserve your place, please RSVP with names of guests and any dietary requirements.

The event costs £20pp, and as usual 50% of any profits made will go to Little Havens Hospice.

The ELIB committee have been able to exclusively secure Wilkin & Sons Tiptree tea room at Bond Street Chelmsford for its next networking event. You will receive a welcome drink on arrival and nibbles (including Tiptree’s own produce) will be provided. Unlimited tea and coffee will also be available throughout the evening.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to sample Tiptree’s famous fruit gin liquors.

​

Why not use this as an opportunity to do some shopping too?! Anyone buying Wilkin & Sons products during the event will get an ELIB exclusive 10% discount.

As usual, 50% of the profits made will go to Little Havens Hospice.

Following the amazing turn-out of last year's event, we are looking to kick off the holiday festivities with another hearty breakfast. Tickets cost £15pp which includes your choice of breakfast and drink. Half of the profits will go to Little Haven's Hospice, and there will also be a raffle- don't forget to bring business cards.

We are hosting a wine tasting event at New Hall Vineyard (Chelmsford Road, Purleigh, Chelmsford, CM3 6PN)

​

The evening will kick off with a glass of the Essex grown sparkling wine, and a selection of cheese and biscuits, with time to network with your fellow ELIB attendees. This will be followed by a tour of the Vineyard, including press room, sparking wine room, and a tour of the winery and vineyard. A tasting of New Hall's amazing wines will take place at each stop of the tour!

The evening will finish with a free raffle for the chance to wine a magnum of sparkling wine. 50% of the profit made will be paid to Little Haven's Hospice.

We are limited to 30 attendees, and therefore this will strictly be on a first come, first serve basis, so book early to avoid disappointment.

If you wish to attend this event, please RSVP. We will hold your place for 7 days in which time you must make payment of the full ticket price. Bank details will be provided at this time. If payment is not made in 7 days, then your ticket will be offered to the next member on the waiting list.

In the world of work this is critically important in getting a new client, keeping clients, getting an internal promotion or growing your own business. A keen sense of style when it comes to your image can lead to greater opportunities and higher levels of success. It is not enough to be able to do your job well - you have to look like you can do the job well too.  The saying "Dress for the job you want not the job you have" is very true for this reason.

The next Essex Ladies in Business event will be an informal drinks evening at the Chop Bloc in Chelmsford on Wednesday 10th February, from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.

Chop Bloc, 8-9 Greys Brewery Yard, Town Centre, Chelmsford, Essex CM2 6QR.

This will be an opportunity to meet with both new and existing contacts, and we will also be having a short talk from Lucia Cockcroft, from Yoga at the Mill, who will be giving a brief overview of yoga for both yoga fanatics as well as those who are complete novices.
